A SALE OPERATION ORCHESTRATED BY CARMINE CAPITAL

Carmine Capital’s team supported Tikehau Capital, Ouest Croissance and Litto Invest in the sale of their stakes in the Lemer Group. This transition marks a key step for the company, which is preparing to take a new step forward with the support of a strategic shareholder, thus ensuring the continuation of its development and its ambition for innovation.

An expert in lead and aluminum foundry, the Lemer Group is a long-standing player combining centuries of expertise and innovation. Based in the Nantes region, it controls the entire production chain, from design to distribution, to offer tailor-made and mass-produced solutions.

Born from the merger in 1988 of Fonderie Lemer (founded in 1878, specialist in low melting point alloys) and Dejoie (founded in 1929, expert in security seals and aluminum parts), the group has established itself as a key reference in various sectors : leisure, nuclear, nautical, industry and security. Thanks to its responsiveness, expertise and long-lasting customer relationships, it has positioned itself as a key player in the market.

In 2016, the Lemer Group was taken over by its directors Laurent L’école and Pascaline Lemer as part of an MBO (Management Buy-Out), supported by Tikehau Capital (lead investor), Ouest Croissance and Litto Invest. This operation made it possible to secure the business, structure strategic sectors and initiate a growth dynamic, particularly in the maritime, nuclear and aeronautics markets. Under this impetus, Lemer strengthened its positioning in its historical markets while developing cutting-edge innovations, particularly in radiation protection and technical alloys.

Carlesimo Groupe is an industrial holding company specializing in foundry manufacturing. It relies on its four subsidiaries to meet the needs of the nautical, industrial, and public works sectors:

• LORY International, founded in 1980, excels in cast iron foundry with recognized know-how in the counterweight sector as well as cast iron keels.
• Navylest International, a lead specialist since 1975, manufactures lead ballasts and keels for the nautical and industrial sectors.
• Slepi, founded in 1978, specializes in the installation of metal structures, boilers and piping.
• Althimasse, founded in 2005, specializes in the manufacture of cast iron counterweights adapted to the needs of various sectors such as agriculture, industry and public works.

Thanks to the support of Carmine Capital , the sale of the investment funds’ interests has been completed with a new strategic shareholder, whose objective is to accelerate the Group’s growth and fully leverage its industrial expertise and innovation potential. This new step opens up ambitious prospects, both in terms of commercial development and technological expansion, thus consolidating Lemer’s role as a key player in the sector.
